she always enjoyed
riding elevators
because of the possibilities
they offered.

but what made her giggle out loud
was the personality of
one particular elevator at work

because whenever she stepped
onto it, a particular someone else
always got on a few floors down

and she had to wonder
if the elevator was bored with
its day job and recently decided
to play matchmaker to keep things interesting.
